Boys and Young Men training

The BLAST Project (part of Yorkshire MESMAC Group of Services) is the UK’s male only sexual exploitation project dedicated to tackling the grooming and sexual exploitation of boys and young men.

The project has created a number of films aimed at addressing the grooming and sexual exploitation of boys and young men:

Callum’s Story (part of the THINK AGAIN DVD and Resource Pack)
A 15 minute film highlighting how parents,as well as young people can also be groomed. This film also highlights how perpetrators are not just middle aged men.

Ryan’s Story (part of the THINK AGAIN DVD and Resource Pack)
An 18 minute film challenging the stereotype that big, tough boys can’t be sexually exploited. This film also addresses the use of parties, alcohol and drugs in the grooming process and also peer grooming.

Harry’s Story (part of the THINK AGAIN DVD and Resource Pack)
This 15 minute film addresses how perpetrators use the internet to groom young people to establish what the young person thinks is a loving relationship. This film also highlights how sexual orientation can play its part and how perpetrators use hotels in the process.

Child Exploitation training with Boys and Young Men

Since 2003 the BLAST Project has delivered ‘Not Just Our Daughters’ – a full days training course addressing the grooming and sexual exploitation of boys and young men.

The course is the most established and well known CSE training in the country that focuses exclusively on boys and young men.

The course is recognised nationally and is attended by various professionals from across the country.
